Celeste Fig

The celeste fig produces a slight breba crop on the previous season growth and a main crop of figs on the present growth. The fruit is small and green until ripening is initiated. At which time the fruit enlarges by 50 to 100% and turns an attractive violet brown. When allowed to fully ripen on the tree, the fig is very sweet and has an excellent flavor. Ripening on the tree is important since figs do not continue to ripen once harvested. The celeste fig does best in full sun. When establishing a young plantregular watering is very important. Once established, watering is less important with exception of times of drought. The celeste will produce fruit the first year after cuttings are rooted. We provide well established:
